Urdu Script Course
Learn to read and write Urdu in just five weeks. Designed specifically for Hindi speakers, this course is the first in a series of Urdu Reading Courses that bridges Hindi to Urdu through the Devanagari script. Students learn the fundamentals of the Nastaliq script—the elegant writing system used for Urdu and other Indian languages—through five weekly one-hour classes that combine guided instruction with practical reading and writing exercises.
To reinforce learning, students will need to complete weekly homework assignments throughout the course.
Urdu Reading and Writing 1
The second course in our Urdu Reading and Writing series for Hindi speakers, this course is designed for students who have completed the Urdu Script Course and wish to further develop their reading and writing skills in the Nastaliq script. Through guided reading and writing practice, students will build intermediate-level reading fluency while expanding their vocabulary through Urdu short stories and literary texts. Particular emphasis is placed on vocabulary and expressions that are distinctive to Urdu and less commonly found in standard Hindi.
