Persian for Beginners

Representing one branch of the Indo-Iranian language group, the Persian languages of Farsi, Dari, and Tajik are close cousins of Hindi, Urdu, and other North Indian languages. As such, our Persian for Beginners class attracts students already familiar with an Indic language or those just eager to learn the language of one of the oldest cultures in the world. Focusing on standard Persian found in official media throughout Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, students will learn to talk about themselves, ask simple questions, and read and write at a basic level.
